Last night the media workgroup issued a press release announcing the General Assembly of Occupy Richmond’s decision that it is time to bring our demonstration on Raymond H. Boone’s property to a close. We have had our encampment there since November 15th, and we were successful in not only garnering the attention of Mayor Dwight Jones but also continuing our occupation in the City of Richmond.

Now it is time to enter the next phase of Occupy Richmond, which will consist of multiple community service projects and experiments, urban community outreach, large and small scale demonstrations and educational forums.

We are not going away; we are only just getting started.
